Background:

Art Davis founded his business in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York in 1976. Initially building speculative homes and doing some remodeling, Art earned a name that brought him to the forefront of the custom home industry. With a meticulous eye for detail and a passion for helping people obtain their dreams, he quickly became one of the highest respected builders in the area. Art developed his expertise by taking a hands-on approach to the entire building process. As a result, he was able to create a solid reputation through quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. To this day his reputation presents a distinguishing sense of accomplishment by increasing the demand for homes with his trademark.

In 1994, after building for eighteen years in the Catskills, a search for a coastal area with a moderate climate and growth potential drove Art to relocate his business to Wilmington, North Carolina. Five years later, with a desire to begin a professional career as a builder, his son Eric, joined him. Growing up intrigued by construction, Eric spent the summers on the job site working for his father. The experience gave him the opportunity to learn the craft of fine homebuilding first hand. Later, college lead him in the direction of business finance at Pace University, and then into the stock market. Subsequent to having worked in different segments of stock investing, came his decision to establish himself in an industry he always enjoyed, bringing with him a background in accounting and finance.
